Visiting Dr. Dauphiné for the first time?

Dr. Dauphiné will begin by taking a detailed history and performing a comprehensive examination to analyze your knee or shoulder problem. Diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs, will be ordered as necessary to make an accurate diagnosis.

If no surgery is needed, Dr. Dauphiné may instruct you to focus on certain exercises, or make a referral to a qualified allied health practitioner or physical therapist.

If surgery is needed, Dr. Dauphiné takes the time to discuss all of the options available, providing an in-depth, understanding of which surgical procedures will work best for each individual case.

For your first visit to Dr. Dauphiné, please wear comfortable, loose clothing and be sure to bring the following with you:


Current insurance identification cards
List of current medications
X-rays if you have them, or any other diagnostic studies or
   operative reports
Completed Patient Information form
Completed General Patient Health Evaluation form

Dr. Dauphiné and the Center for the Knee and Shoulder have an on-site X-ray facility, as well as an independent physical therapy practice. For those patients who undergo surgery, the Monterey Peninsula Surgical Center is conveniently located next door, and the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is just a short drive away.

Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, by appointment. We are closed weekends and holidays.
